International Architecture Exhibition
A biannual exhibit of conceptual and realized architectural designs, organized by the Biennale di Venezia.  Architects from around the world are invited to submit works representing their country of origin.

Carnegie International
The longest running biannual exhibition of artistic work, founded by industrialist Andrew Carnegie in 1896.  Based in Pittsburgh, this forum is the premier showcase for new artists from around the world.

The FLLW foundation is an organization dedicated to the conservation
of Frank Lloyd Wright's work and advancing the principles of organic architecture, through the Taliesin Fellowship education program.

Foundation Le Corbusier
  The FLC is a Paris based organization dedicated to the conservation
of Le Corbusier's work and encouraging research of his studies in the international style of architecture.

Docomomo International
do.co.mo.mo. is a Paris based non-profit organization dedicated to the documentation and conservation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the modern movement in architecture.


National Association of Home Builders
The NAHB is a Washington D.C. based trade association structured as a federation of state and local associations.  The organization is a good resource for homeowners providing housing data, financial rates, local builder selection, and a building terminology glossary.  For building professionals, their website provides information on building codes, construction safety, environmental concerns, legislative initiatives and emerging issues.

U.S. Department of Energy
The DOE's office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy reorganized in July 2002 to strengthen their partnership with the private sector, national laboratories and universities around eleven energy programs.  The Building Technologies Program offers resources on home efficiencies, building components, and a consumer guide.

Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
The UL is an organization that tests and certifies consumer products for public safety.  Their website provides information for homeowners and building professionals.

United Nations Human Settlements Programme
UN-HABITAT is a program within the United Nations system to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities, with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all.


Habitat for Humanity International
HFHI is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and making decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.  In conjunction, the Jimmy Carter Work Project is an internationally recognized annual event, building homes and raising awareness of the critical need for affordable housing.
